Accu-Chek Active Blood Glucose Meter

The information given below is simply a guide on how the meter is used to obtain a finger-prick blood glucose measurement. It is not intended to be a comprehensive guide on using the device, which would be provided in the instruction leaflet/book accompanying your meter.

3. Take the coding chip from the pack of test strips and slide it gently into the slot on the side of the meter

4. Push the coding strip fully home.

5. Insert a test strip to turn the meter on.

6. Compare the three digit number on the display (605) with the number printed on the test strip container. The two numbers should be identical.

7. Inserting the test strip automatically puts the meter in test mode. When the drop symbol flashes in the display, apply the drop of blood to the middle of the orange-coloured, application area. It is OK to touch this area when applying blood.
