The information given below is simply a guide on how the meter is used to obtain a finger-prick blood glucose measurement. It is not intended to be a comprehensive guide on using the device, which would be provided in the instruction leaflet/book accompanying your meter.

3. Take the coding chip from the pack of test strips and slide it gently into the slot on the side of the meter |

4. Push the coding strip fully home. |

5. Insert a test strip to turn the meter on. |

6. Compare the three digit number on the display (605) with the number printed on the test strip container. The two numbers should be identical. |

7. Inserting the test strip automatically puts the meter in test mode. When the drop symbol flashes in the display, apply the drop of blood to the middle of the orange-coloured, application area. It is OK to touch this area when applying blood. |
