 Foot Care

This series of pages will give you most of the information you need to take good care of your feet.

The feet in people with diabetes are at risk of ulceration due to poor circulation and loss of protective sensation (neuropathy). When wounds develop, healing may be impaired due to infection. Many of these foot ulcers can be prevented, by detecting the complications of diabetes and by preventing injury and breaks in the skin. Your doctor and podiatrist will examine your feet regularly and advise you further.
